Users can push and pull the PSVR 2 faceplate toward or away from their face through a button on top of the faceplate, and tighten it using a dial on the band’s rear. Some of the holdovers from the original headset include the circular halo band. Once it’s on your head, the PSVR 2’s weight distribution feels a bit more even as well. It also shed some weight, coming in at a noticeably lighter 560 grams compared to the PSVR’s 600 grams. The PSVR 2 really looks cool sitting alongside the PS5. Like other PS5 accessories, the design philosophy takes inspiration from the console itself - meaning it sports a sleek white-and-black aesthetic featuring some abstract angles. Having four cameras on the headset also removes the need for an external camera. ![]() Users literally have to just plug the earbuds into the PSVR 2’s audio port and the headset itself into the PS5’s USB-C port. Simplicity is the name of the game with the PSVR 2. ![]() That’s pretty much it - no processor box, PlayStation camera, power plug or extra HDMI configuration needed. Alongside the headset and controllers, you’ll find a single USB-C charge cable alongside instructional booklets and wired earbuds in the box. A bit more streamlined than the original, the packaging also serves as a case for both the headset and Sense controllers. The PSVR 2 improves on every aspect of the original PSVR, and it all begins with the box.
